Hand sanitiser spray vs soap and water – What’s best?

Hand sanitiser spray vs soap and water – What’s best?

By now, we all know to practise social distancing, cough into our elbows, wear a face mask and wash our hands as frequently as possible.

So what’s better to keep our hands clean, soap or hand sanitiser spray?

The truth is, ordinary soap and water is the best tried-and-tested method to get rid of all germs. Do this whenever you can!

However, sanitiser is better when you’re out at the shops or running errands. When out of the house, finding a sink and soap is not always possible, making hand sanitiser spray the ultimate weapon for on-the-go protection.

Also, hand sanitiser spray is usually only less effective than soap and water because people do not use enough of it at a time. Your sanitiser should take at least 10 full seconds to dry – that’s how you know you’ve used enough.
